The Animals est un groupe de rock anglais fondé en 1962 et qui s'est séparé en 1967. Au même titre que les Rolling Stones, cette formation a été l'une des pionnières du blues revival et a contribué à importer en Europe le rhythm'n'blues noir américain.
Reprise d'un morceau traditionnel de country Américaine "House of the Rising Sun" redevins populaire grâce au groupe. Énorme succès, ce titre, ainsi que d'autres, leur permet de faire jeu égal avec les Beatles et les Rolling Stones dans les charts. pas grand chose à dire sur le groupe vu que son existence à été plutôt ephémère (1962 - 1967) cette reprise reste leur plus gros succès et personnellement j'adore.
